Stage 1

Škofja Loka–Osolnik–Mihelčičev dom–Mali Tošč–Gonte

The Loka Trail starts in Škofja Loka. The first stage goes from the old town centre to the settlement Puštal. From there, take the forest road and marked trail – the round red-and-white marking – on the outskirts of the Polhov Gradec hills. The route climbs steadily to Osolnik (857m). The trail continues from here to the Mihelčičev dom na Govejku refuge (729m). A well-trodden path takes us past Gontarska planina mountain all the way to Mali Tošč hill. From there, the path descends over the Gonte saddle to the Gonte farm, where the stage ends.
